AV-8B Harrier jet

PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 26, 2007)- AV-8B Harriers assigned to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron (HMM) 163 are secured on the flight deck aboard amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) after conducting flight operations. Bonhomme Richard and HMM-163 have been conducting flight operations as part of a Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX). The multi-purpose amphibious assault ship and Expeditionary Strike Group 5 are currently off the coast of Southern California participating in a COMPTUEX in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
